UCU members have voted to accept new proposals for USS and not restart a marking and assessment boycott. Two-thirds (67.1%) of those who voted agreed to accept the new proposals.
The result of the consultative ballot of USS members on the latest proposals has been announced.
Arising from the decision by the higher education committee (HEC) meeting on Wednesday 14 January 2015, please find information below on the arrangements for the forthcoming ballot of USS members plus more detail on the proposals which members are asked to consider.
Action due to resume on 16 January action which was due to resume on Friday 16 January is suspended while the union consults members.
UCU branches are asked to prepare members to recommence the assessment boycott on Friday 16 January, to be confirmed after a specially arranged Higher Education Committee meeting on 14 January.
